The European Commission has committed an additional €10 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon, aimed at assisting those impacted by the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.

This aid package reflects the European Union's readiness to offer more support if the situation worsens.

The emergency funds are set to address the most urgent needs in Lebanon, such as providing food assistance, shelter, healthcare, and protection for those affected by the violence.

As tensions continue to rise, the EU remains prepared to mobilize further resources through its emergency response tools, including the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

With this contribution, the EU has now provided €74 million in humanitarian aid to Lebanon in 2024 alone.

The ongoing support underscores the EU’s commitment to helping vulnerable populations in Lebanon as the country faces increasing instability and a growing humanitarian crisis.
