The euro exchange rate in Egypt rose, Sunday, in Egyptian banks, on the banking sector's first working day after the weekend.
The euro exchange rate in Egypt at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) reached EGP 58.12 to buy and EGP 58.28 to sell.
Recently, the European single currency jumped against global currencies, including the U.S dollar to record 1.14 against the greenback.
Meantime, The Central Bank Governor Hassna Abdullah confirmed that Egypt is pursuing a flexible exchange rate policy and that its currency cannot currently be fixed.
Also, PM Mustafa madbouly said today, during a meeting with a delegation from the Arab Fund, that the Egyptian state is proceeding with its economic reform program, particularly at the level of fiscal and monetary policies, particularly through adopting a flexible exchange rate policy.
