The 27 European Union (EU) countries announced the launch of an initiative to mitigate the repercussions of the food crises caused by the war in Ukraine on the most affected countries.
And the “Pharm” program, inspired by the international “COVAX” platform for distributing vaccines against the Coronavirus“ known also as COVID-19”, aims in particular to provide more transparency about global reserves, ensure that countries most at risk are supplied with what they need and encourage production in vulnerable areas, according to the agency French press.
In another context, European Union leaders agreed - at the conclusion of a two-day summit in Brussels - to carry out joint voluntary purchases of gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen, in an attempt on their part to reduce the prices of these materials for consumers in their countries.
