The European Commission has launched a joint initiative worth €883.6 million (about $1 billion) to support Gaza's recovery in partnership with 15 international donors.
According to the Commission, the "Team Gaza" initiative was unveiled during the Palestine Donors Group meeting in Brussels and will finance ongoing and planned early recovery projects for residents of the Gaza Strip.
The initiative brings together 12 European countries, Japan, the World Bank and the European Investment Bank to coordinate recovery and reconstruction efforts.
