Amid rising regional tensions, the European Union has issued a formal plea to all involved parties to immediately halt military operations and ensure the safe, uninterrupted flow of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.

The appeal, broadcast via Cairo News, highlights the critical importance of the Strait as a global trade artery. The EU emphasized that preserving freedom of navigation is essential for international stability and economic security.

Supporting this diplomatic push, China has welcomed recent announcements regarding potential ceasefire arrangements in the region. Liao Liqiang, the Chinese Ambassador to Cairo, affirmed Beijing’s long-standing position that military conflicts must be resolved through political and diplomatic channels.

"China, as a major global power, remains committed to playing a constructive role in restoring peace and tranquility to the Middle East and the Gulf region," Ambassador Liao stated via social media. He added that achieving lasting stability requires a transition from combat to dialogue.

This joint international pressure comes at a time when the "Iranian War" is reshaping global spheres of influence. Observers note that while various nations have faced strategic setbacks, China and Russia have increasingly sought to position themselves as key mediators in the shifting geopolitical landscape of the Gulf.
