On Sunday, European Union Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst made her first official visit to Beni Suef Governorate, meeting with Governor Mohamed Hany Ghneim to discuss strengthening economic partnerships and promoting sustainable development initiatives aimed at creating jobs and empowering young people.
The meeting also focused on aligning local projects with the broader strategic goals of the EU-Egypt partnership.
During her visit, Ambassador Eichhorst toured the Central School Nutrition Kitchen in Beni Suef, which provides fresh and nutritious meals daily to 1,600 students across 47 community schools in Beni Suleiman. The program is supported by the World Food Programme, the Karma Foundation for Development, and the Ministry of Education and Technical Education, reflecting a collaborative effort to improve child nutrition and educational outcomes.
The visit highlights the EU’s commitment to fostering local development, supporting youth opportunities, and promoting sustainable economic growth in partnership with Egyptian authorities.
