CEO of Etisalat Egypt Hazem Metwally said on Sunday that the company plans to inject about EGP 5 billion worth of investments during 2021 to continue improving its services.

This sum will also be used for supporting investments in future technologies, such as the Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which proves Egypt's economic resilience and the abundance of investment opportunities in Egypt, Metwally noted.

Metwally made the remarks during a speech at the opening session of the 24th edition of Cairo ICT Exhibition Fair and Forum for the Middle East and Africa, which kicked off on Sunday at the International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.

He added the company follows a coherent strategy for improving all state sectors by providing a variety of services to fulfill the needs of its customers, including inpiduals, corporate customers, and government bodies.

Held under the theme, "The Big Reset," the event will wrap on Wednesday.
