Ethan Hawke, Ewan McGregor to Star in Movie "Raymond and Ray"

Acclaimed actors Ethan Hawke and Ewan McGregor will play half-brothers in Apple Studios' movie "Raymond and Ray".

Directed by Rodrigo Garcia, the movie focuses on the two brothers' reunion at their father's funeral and their struggle to overcome the years of miserable parenting he gave them.

The movie is produced by Academy Award winner Alfonso Cuarón, Bonnie Curtis, and Julie Lynn, who will produce through Mockingbird Pictures. Gabriela Rodriguez and Shea Kammer will also serve as executive producers.

McGregor recently starred in “Halston,” earning an Emmy nomination. He will be seen next in Disney Plus’s Obi-Wan Kenobi streaming series.

The actor will also star as the first man to ever reach the peak of Mt. Everest in a new thriller fittingly titled "Everest".

The movie, which is an adaptation of the novel "The Paths of Glory", is set to be released in January 2022.

On the other hand, Hawke will co-star in the Blumhouse horror movie “The Black Phone” and in the star-studded movie “Knives Out 2”.

He is also set to be in Moon Knight, an upcoming Disney+ exclusive debuting in 2022.

The actor appeared last in Showtime’s “The Good Lord Bird”.
