The cast of TV series “Eswed Fateh” (Light Black) resumed shooting in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, after halting for two days, following the huge blast that ripped through the city on August 4.
“Eswed Fateh” starring Haifa Wehbe, Rogena, Salamah, Ahmed Fahmy, Motasem Al Nahar, Sabry Fawwaz, Omar Al Saeed, Firas Saayed, Rania Mansour, Hossam Jneed, Hanan Sulieman, Nancy Salah, Nasser Saif, Nabeel Nour Al-Din, and others.
Egyptian actress, Nancy Salah, was near the vicinity of the explosion, with the rest of the cast, which resulted in badly injuring her hand.
The series shooting location was among the buildings damaged buildings following the blast. The producer of Eswed Fateh, Mohamed al-Adl, reported that no one else was injured in the explosion.
On August 4, two huge explosions rocked Port of Beirut, shaking buildings all over Lebanon’s capital, killing at least 171 people and wounding over 6,000, as well as leaving dozens listed missing.
According to Lebanon’s Interior Ministry, a fire was started by welding work and caused the detonation of more than 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, which had been stored in the port for six years after being seized by the customs service.
On Wednesday, Lebanese President Michel Aoun said that losses from the devastating blast caused more than $15 billion in damages.
According to the Internal Security Forces Directorate of Lebanon, nearly 4,000 buildings were partially or completely destroyed by the blast.
The cast will continue to shoot daily to complete shooting the last scenes before the end of this August.
It is scripted by Amin Jamal and directed by Karim El Adl. The series is a social drama genre that revolves around conflict and betrayal.
The plot revolves around a businesswoman who is being betrayed by her best friend.
Wehbe was planning to participate with the series in this year’s Ramadan, however, the filming got suspended due to the spread of the novel coronavirus and the suspension of air traffic.
Furthermore, when given the green light the series creators failed to catch up with the shooting schedule due to lack of time.
