Estonia has confirmed the delivery of short-range air defense systems to Ukraine, as announced by the Ministry of Defense on Saturday.

"The Mistral short-range air defense systems and missiles provided by Estonia have successfully arrived in Ukraine," the ministry stated on its official "X" platform account.

Details regarding the quantity of the defense systems and missiles were not disclosed by the ministry.

In June, the newspaper "Postimees" reported that Belgium, Hungary, Cyprus, France, and Estonia had signed an agreement for the joint procurement of Mistral air defense systems.

The Mistral systems have been part of Estonia's defense forces for many years, and new systems are expected to be delivered to Estonia within the next three years.

Moscow has consistently warned Western nations that supplying weapons to Kyiv will not alter the battlefield dynamics but will hinder peace negotiations and prolong the conflict, resulting in further destruction of Ukraine.

Russia has stated that ongoing Western military support to Ukraine, which Ukrainian forces are using to target Russian territories, implicates these nations as participants in the conflict.
