Tunisian reports claimed on Saturday that Espérance Sportive de Tunis are in talks to sign Zamalek's current head coach Patrice Carteron to succeed current head coach Moïne Chaâbani.
The Tunisian club are now searching for a good replacement to Moïne Chaâbani, who is expected to leave the club after the CAF Champions League exit.
Al Ahly of Egypt knocked ES Tunis out of the African tournament after defeating them 4-0 on aggregate.
According to "Nisma" newspaper, the Tunisian Club's management contacted Carteron to complete the deal after the end of the ongoing Egyptian League edition.
"The management has contacted with Carteron since the last week," the newspaper said.
The French coach led the White Knights to claim the African Super Cup and Egypt Cup title, before leaving Zamalek in September. He returned once again to the Egyptian club and he is now leading them to the top of the Egyptian League table and the semi-final of Egypt Cup.
