The Turkish news agency reported that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to Saudi Arabia and Egypt on February 3 and 4 for a tour during which he will discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip with the leadership of both countries.
A statement from the Turkish presidency indicated that the visit will focus, in addition to the Palestinian issue and developments in Syria, on strengthening economic relations between Turkey and both countries.
The visit is scheduled to begin in Saudi Arabia, where a business forum will be held on February 3, followed by a similar forum in Egypt on February 4.
The agenda will include discussions about mechanisms for the reconstruction of Gaza and Syria, regional initiatives related to achieving stability, including the "Peace Council for Gaza" initiative, and developments concerning the formation of a joint defense group comprising Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan.
