Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said he will speak to his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts Vladimir Putin on Sunday and Volodymyr Zelenskyy to reinforce the U.N.-backed Black Sea grain deal.

"Turkey's diplomatic efforts on Ukraine are based on the idea that there can be no winners in war, and no losers in the world," Erdoğan asserted on Friday during his speech at a conference in Istanbul, to which Zelenskiy also spoke by video link.

The Turkish leader also affirmed that the war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine is associated with serious political, economic, and humanitarian damage to the entire world. He also emphasized that Turkey firmly supports the territorial integrity of Ukraine.

In the same vein, Erdoğan highlighted that Turkey opposed inciting contradictions in the region through "unthinkable policies towards the Russian Federation."
