Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed his hope for continued trade cooperation between Egypt and Turkey, noting that joint meetings emphasized the need to support the business community in both countries and work to increase the volume of trade exchange to $15 billion.
He explained that the meetings included discussions on solutions to the problems facing Turkish investors, including residency, work permits and licenses, in order to achieve a stable and effective investment environment.
Erdogan praised the impact of Egypt's visa-on-arrival system on increasing the number of Turkish trade delegations and tourists, affirming that this growth would continue at an accelerated pace. He also expressed his delight at the great interest shown by Turkish tourists in Egypt's history and rich culture.
The Turkish President praised Egypt's cooperation in delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, emphasizing the importance of the Turkish-Egyptian partnership in reconstruction. He noted that the integration of Turkish technology and standards with Egyptian expertise would enable the implementation of large-scale projects in Africa and Asia. He affirmed that this cooperation includes the fields of energy, maritime transport, and the construction and operation of airports, benefiting both sides and enhancing mutual advantage.
