The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) received a new batch of wounded and ill Palestinians arriving from the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian side of the Rafah Border Crossing, marking the 11th group transferred under the ongoing humanitarian framework.
Medical teams stationed permanently at the crossing immediately began triage procedures and primary examinations upon the patients’ arrival. Several cases remained inside ambulances in the vicinity of the crossing while undergoing urgent medical assessments.
Some critically injured patients were transferred within minutes of arrival to Egyptian hospitals for advanced treatment. The cases included amputations, complex bone fractures, and severe injuries requiring urgent surgical evaluation. Each patient’s condition was swiftly assessed to determine the most appropriate medical facility for treatment.
In parallel with medical operations, psychological and social support services were provided to Palestinian families and companions inside a designated area at the crossing. Special attention was given to children, as part of efforts to ease the psychological impact of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
The continued reception and transfer of patients reflect Egypt’s sustained humanitarian role in supporting Palestinians amid the conflict and its aftermath.
