The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) has mobilized more than 65,000 volunteers to support the Palestinian people amid the ongoing war in Gaza, significantly expanding its humanitarian operations, according to statements reported from North Sinai.

The organization’s main logistics hub in Arish serves as the primary consolidation point for all humanitarian aid flowing into Egypt, whether arriving via Arish’s seaport and airport or through land routes. From there, aid shipments are coordinated and prepared for delivery into the Gaza Strip.

Large teams of Egyptian Red Crescent volunteers are working around the clock at the logistics center, sorting, packaging and preparing relief supplies in line with established humanitarian priorities. Volunteers are also providing assistance to Palestinian families arriving in or departing from Egypt, ensuring support services are in place during transit.

Aid convoys depart regularly from the Arish hub toward Gaza through the Karm Abu Salem and Al-Awja crossings. Since the outbreak of the war, the Egyptian Red Crescent has succeeded in facilitating the entry of more than 85,000 tons of humanitarian assistance into the enclave.

Medical supplies and shelter materials have been prioritized as part of the relief effort, reflecting urgent needs on the ground in Gaza. The large-scale volunteer mobilization underscores Egypt’s ongoing humanitarian role in supporting Palestinians during the crisis.
