The United Media Services (UMS), headed by famed Egyptian producer Tamer Mursi, announced Thursday that it will screen on Friday the 25th episode of TV series "El Ekhteyar II" (The Choice 2) without TV ads.
The decision came due to the important events the series will showcase in the upcoming episode.
“El Ekhteyar II” stars Karim Abdel Aziz, Ahmed Mekky, Mohamed Farag, Eyad Nassar, Injy El Mokkaddem, Asma Abulyazeid, Mohammed Alaa, Eslam Gamal, Ahmed Shaker Abdul Latif, Ryad El Khouly, and others.
It is written by Hany Sarhan, produced by Synergy production company.
“El Ekhteyar: Regal el Zel” will also feature late actor, Hady El-Gyar.
The production will center around the events of 2012 from a new angle as well as highlighting the martyrdom of the Ministry of Interior officers, who sacrificed themselves for the country during the period of 2013-2020.

The series, which is one of the highly-anticipated production in the drama marathon, features over 11 guest appearances including, Ahmed Fahmi, Mohamed Farag, Karim Fahmy, Hesham Maged, Ahmed Halawa, Ashraf Abdel Baky, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Mustafa Abu Saree, Sahar El Sayegh, Ali Al Tayeb, Hisham Gamal, Nedal El Shafey, Ahmad Dash, and Abed Anani.
It also features Amir Karara reprising his role from season 1 of the series as martyr Colonel Ahmed el-Mansy and Ahmed Elawady as terrorist Hisham Ashmawy.
El-Mansy was the commander of Sa’ka Forces (Thunderbolt Forces) battalion 103, who was martyred with several other members of his battalion on July 7th, 2017. They were killed during clashes between Egyptian army forces and militants in a terror attack launched on an Egyptian armed forces checkpoint in El-Barth Village, Rafah, North Sinai.
