A new poll conducted among the leading epidemiologists in the world revealed that the anti-Corona vaccines may become useless within less than a year.

An investigative study run, under the auspice of the People Vaccinating Alliance (PVA)  among 77 epidemiologists in 28 countries, unveiled pessimistic expectations.

About 66% of the respondents, even those in vanguard institutions such as Johns Hopkins University, London School for Equatorial Medicine, London Imperial College, and Edinburgh University, UK, said that the Coronavirus may mutate within a year or less so the vaccines become useless.

Devi Sredhar, Professor of Public Health at Edinburgh University, said as the deadly virus spreads, the possibility of the emergence of new variants and mutations spike.

“These challenges make the vaccines useless”, he warned.

He went on to say that viruses do not recognize boundaries between the countries so we must vaccinate the largest portion of the population in all continents as fast as possible.

He stressed that delaying the vaccination may lead to destructive results.

About three-thirds of the epidemiologists said that accelerating the campaign of vaccinating helps much to confront the percussions of the Coronavirus.

They called for lifting the current therapeutic monopolies to strengthen capacities of production and distribution of vaccines across the world.

Greg Gonzales, Associate –Professor of Epidemiology at Yale University, USA, said that we have an interest to introduce anti-Corona vaccines to all countries around the world regardless of the place where they live.

He indicates that the new variants of the COVID-19 may threaten any part of the globe so no one will be safe.

On the other hand, a study conducted by experts of the Office for National Statics (ONS) in the United Kingdom (UK) showed that half of the population have anti-bodies after they caught the Coronavirus or were vaccinated against it.

However, a British minister said the government seeks to vaccinate all populations before providing anti-corona vaccines to other countries.
