Ministers of Environment and Climate from 51 countries will hold a meeting for "critical" climate talks ahead of November's upcoming United Nations on Climate Change Conference (COP26) summit in Glasgow.
In response to the climate change issue, the previous summit in 2015 in France affirmed the need for international cooperation to minimize the Earth temperature to at least two degrees Celsius and also submitted this recommendation to affirm the idea that climate and industry must be in balance in order to ensure the stability of life.
Some leading scientists, however, cautioned against the current approaches, and their ability to follow the recommended measures.
Environment and climate ministers from the United States, India and China will be among those taking part in the closed-door meeting, which will include both virtual and in-person attendance. Also in this regard, it will be the first face-to-face ministerial meeting of its kind in more than 18 months.
British minister Alok Sharma, president of COP26, will lead the two-day meeting, which London aims to bring many participants from all over the world to take a part in it.
The minister also announced a few days ago: "We are facing perilous times for our planet and the only approach we will safeguard its future is if countries are on the same track."
He added: "The world will be curious to see whether we come together in Glasgow and do what is necessary to turn things around in this decisive decade."
During the upcoming meetings on the sidelines of the summit, many countries - including those with high emission profiles like China and U.S. - are expected to be part of the global response to the afflicted relatively small emissions profiles like Jamaica, Costa Rica, Rwanda and the Marshall Islands.
Indeed, global change summits warming may bring some international benefits, such as the adoption of humans with temperate climates and increased awareness in certain areas and also put forward this recommendation to assert the idea that climate and industry must be in balance in order to ensure the stability of life.
In a step intended to revive the world’s effort on the climate issue, Biden’s climate team decided to find common ground and collectively draw out how they will build a healthy economy for the upcoming generations amid the Coronavirus, which has impacted and threatened the existence of humanity.
Unfortunately, the UN's framework convention on Climate Change measures and its policy towards the issues of a changing climate is overwhelmingly negative.
I appreciate what distinguished the 74th Cannes Film Festival from its predecessors by placing the environment and climate change issues on the list of priorities. This significant move was not seen in any other international festival.
This year, the festival management decided to provide an opportunity for films that deal with issues of change, environmental persity and preservation of different kinds, in order to display and participate in all festival competitions.
Moreover, a number of audiences attended a big press conference that brought together many directors, producers and photographers whose films about the environment participated this year.
The festival decided to participate in preserving the environment through reducing the carbon footprint and treating waste in the French city of Cannes, not just the festival. Thus, the city would be an environmentally clean destination, according to the Commissioner-General of the Cannes Film Festival.
"Animal", directed by French Cyril Dion, was among the films that were presented at Cannes Festival. The film revolved around new generations of teenagers, in search of the causes of the changes which are taking place in some regions of our beautiful planet.
These considerable changes led to the destruction of environmental persity and the disappearance of thousands of animal species from the planet.
In the film, the new generation is not only looking for a complete understanding of the phenomenon. It also provides answers through this understanding of real and tangible solutions that can lead to a better situation as well as a brighter and vivid planet.
I think that such initiatives, launched for the first time, may have more impactful results on the course of international cooperation in the field of climate change.
In this manner, they address and bring together the various components of the international community, especially the generations of teenagers.
