Egypt's First Lady Entisar El Sisi said on Facebook: “We are celebrating together the anniversary of the great victory of the 6th of October, in which the Egyptian people gave an unforgettable example of cohesion and sacrifice for our holy land."
Noteworthy, today marks the 46th anniversary of the glorious victory of October. “We would not have accepted defeat or violated an inch of the land of Egypt,” the Armed Forces said.
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Sunday that the 6th of October is one of the most important and glorious days in Egypt’s history when the Egyptians crossed the line between despair and hope and between the past and the future.
This came in a televised speech on the 46th anniversary of 6th of October War. Sisi stressed that the October war was not only a military glorious victory but also a demonstration of the nation’s will that has been drawn from its long history of solidity and invincibility.
“In 1973, the people stood behind their Armed Forces," he said, stressing that the current generations have the right to know what happened during this period.
“They also should know how the Egyptians managed to successfully pass such a hard test and stood behind their Armed Forces to achieve an epic victory, open up doors to restore occupied Egyptian and Arab territories and establish peace," Sisi added.
The Egyptian president pointed out, “Our country has been exposed to strong waves, most of which come from abroad, but all attempts came to an end before the Egyptians’ solidarity and cohesion."
“Forms and methods of warfare have recently been changed," Sisi confirmed. “There are modern ways of wars, through media outlets and means of communication that target generating suspicion and confusion, instilling fear and terrorism and destroying mutual confidence among citizens."
“Therefore, I am fully confident of Egyptians’ ability to achieve victory in that war, who are tired of deceit and deceivers,” the Egyptian president noted.
