Egypt’s Ministry of Endowments announced that 24 new mosques would be opened while another one will be inaugurated following renovation works on Friday.
The ministry stressed that these openings represent the most effective response to the evil groups that accuse Egypt of demolishing the mosques, which is completely baseless.
Earlier, Egypt’s President, Abdel Fattah el Sisi responded to these accusations at the inauguration ceremony of a national project in Alexandria.
“We demolished 30 mosques, but we rebuilt them for the national interest and development — not because of what they had accused us of,” Sisi said.
