Enactus 6 October University won the first place globally in Finance in Motion's Innovation Race for Sustainability competition, held in Germany's Frankfurt.
Enactus team, which represented Egypt, gained mastery over teams of four universities from four countries; Germany, Tunisia, Morocco, and Ukraine.
The Egyptian team succeeded in transforming the plant waste of Shubra Beloulah - a village in Menofia governorate famous for cultivating jasmine- to paper could be used in various purposes to maintain balance in nature.
Enactus of O6U works under the supervision of the cultural relations department. The team’s activities contribute in the fields of scientific research and innovation, community participation and environmental development, empowerment of students and graduates, and the development of human resources.
Founded in 1975, Enactus is an international non-profit organization cooperating with the United Nations in the 17th sustainable development goals.
It also works with 550 companies and a global institution as partners. Enactus works with 1,700 universities and 70,500 students from 36 countries.
