American rapper Eminem will make a cameo appearance in Starz’s new TV series, "Black Mafia Family".

The rapper is set to play Richard Wershe Jr., better known as White Boy Rick, a young FBI informant who was sentenced to life in prison for possession of over eight kilograms of cocaine.

Fellow rapper 50 Cent, who is producing the series, took to Twitter to announce the news and welcome Eminem to the cast.

“Oh yeah I’m bringing the big dogs out. I couldn’t do a show based in Detroit without incorporating the legend Eminem. Got him to play white Boy Rick in BMF," the rapper tweeted Tuesday.

The Grammy winner made his big-screen debut in the 2002 movie "8 Mile", which earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Lose Yourself".
