"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke is making her first foray into the Marvel universe.
In a statement on Wednesday, sources revealed that Clarke landed a lead role in Marvel Studios’ highly-anticipated original series “Secret Invasion” at Disney Plus. Details of her role are being kept under wraps.
“Secret Invasion” stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and others.
The series follows a group of shape-shifting aliens who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Ben-Adir has been set as the main villain.
The production was announced as a development property last year and is one of Marvel’s many planned titles for Disney Plus.
Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury, while Mendelsohn will play the Skrull Talos as he did in the film “Captain Marvel”
Kyle Bradstreet will write and executive produce the production, which will be produced by Kevin Feige’s unit, as it did with all other MCU titles, including the hits “WandaVision” and “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”.
