As part of the Sultanate of Oman's celebration of the day His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik took the reins of power in the country—the 11th of January Anniversary, the Secretariat General for National Celebrations today announced the launch of the emblem of "Oman's Renewed Renaissance".

The emblem depicts features denoting the “5 years” in which His Majesty the Sultan established the “5 basic pillars” of: Social development, Youth, Economy, Decentralization and Governance.

The emblem represents overlying circles that reflect the vitality of decision-making and implementation. The top line indicates constant implementation through plans characterized by flexibility, durability in pursuit of improvement, as well as the symbolism of the harmony of all vital sectors. It also indicates the fruitful outcome of national action influenced by the Royal vision that takes centre stage among the five pillars.

The emblem features several colours, each having symbolic connotations. Dark purple symbolises nobility and Royal splendour, as well as the rich cultural heritage of the Sultanate of Oman and the country’s prestigious position among nations. It embodies originality, uniqueness and the spirit of authentic cultural heritage.

The greenish blue colour symbolizes innovation and modernization. It embodies the country’s constant pursuit of progress, while at the same time evoking the serenity and unwavering commitment to sustainability.
