Embassy of India commemorating 77th ICCR Foundation Day

Embassy of India in Cairo has been giving utmost importance to the development of stronger cultural ties and people-to-people contacts between our two friendly countries. With the active support of the different governmental bodies of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Embassy organizes various activities which symbolized the depth of our cultural interaction. In addition to creating awareness about the diversity of India and its complex cultural identity, those activities have also been a vehicle for projecting a positive message about strong and deep-rooted India and Egypt relations.

​This year (2026), India and Egypt are celebrating 78 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Its an important milestone that reflects the enduring friendship between the two countries. To mark this significant occasion, the Embassy of India is also commemorating the 77th Foundation Day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).The event will be held at 4:30 PM on Thursday, 9th April 2026, at the Embassy premises, located at 5, Aziz Abaza Street, Zamalek, Cairo.

ICCR has been at the forefront of promoting India’s cultural relations and fostering mutual understanding and goodwill worldwide. The event will celebrate the strong and vibrant cultural exchanges and cooperation between our two rich civilizations.
