Egyptian actress Eman El Assy said Tuesday that she has recovered from the coronavirus. The actress posted a video of herself on Instagram, detailing her painful journey with the pandemic.
She titled her post under "My experience with Coronavirus" and hashtagged it with #coronavirus_isn't_blemish #The_cured _isn't_an outcast #Illness_isn't_blemish.
El Assy stated that she discovered her infection on the day of the Eid holiday, after testing for the virus at a center affiliated to Egypt's Ministry of Health, which came out as positive.
She pointed out that as soon as she became aware of her infection, she notified everyone she came in contact with and isolated herself from her daughter and family.
El Assy revealed that she self-isolated herself and underwent the treatment protocol until the disease period passed, followed by another three tests, which tested negative, but despite that, she underwent another week in isolation and then, performed another one on May 29, which came out as negative.
The actress pointed out that she contacted her daughter through video calls, which made them cry, as it was very difficult.
"The most difficult thing during my experience, perhaps was, being separated from my daughter, who did not understand the matter at the beginning, and so she went through a difficult psychological state," she noted.
El Assy continued: "In the end, I asked that everyone to have mercy on infected people because they are going through difficult psychological conditions, once they learn about their infection, and pressuring them, makes it difficult for them to recover."
She pointed out that the cured person can be beneficial and not an outcast because he can provide psychological support to other patients or donate plasma to help treat patients.
The actress also thanked everyone who helped her to pass this difficult experience.

The novel coronavirus was first reported in Wuhan, China, and has infected more than one million people and killed over 234,139 worldwide. It also hit several celebrities and top political figures around the world.
On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared coronavirus a global pandemic as the new virus has rapidly spread to more than 800,000 people from Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and the United States.
Transmission of viruses between humans happens when someone comes into contact with an infected person’s secretions, such as droplets in a cough.
Coronavirus can also be transmitted by coming into contact with something an infected person has touched and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.
It is known that older people appear to be more vulnerable to the effects of the emerging virus.
The virus caused complete paralysis in all activities and events with large gatherings worldwide due to concerns over the spread of the virus.
