The latest footage captured by forecast satellite showed that several waves of cold south-westerly winds are strongly active across Egypt. The speed of the winds could reach 40 km/h, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.
In addition, some sand storms could be formed in all places near deserts in Cairo, the northern parts of Upper Egypt, Delta, Sinai, and northern coasts which will affect the quality of horizontal sight.
Moreover, cloudy weather will prevail through the night on western coasts, in addition to heavy showers and thunderstorms that could reach Cairo, Canal, and Sinai.
EMA announced on Friday that unstable weather would hit the country on Sunday and Monday.
During those two days, the state would witness a significant activity of winds that carry dust and sand in different areas in Great Cairo, lower Egypt, Northern Coasts, South Sinai, and Canal cities. The winds' strength could reach the strength of storms in some areas.
In addition, there will be a new decline of temperatures in all of Egypt with rain expectations in the Northern Coast, Lower Egypt, Great Cairo, Delta, and the north of Upper Egypt.
