Snow is also foreseen to form on Mount Moses and Saint Catherine's heights.
It is also predicted there will be disruption of maritime navigation in the Red Sea, with winds averaging 60 to 70 km/h and waves ranging between 3 to 4.5 meters.
Meteorologists called on citizens to suspend marine activities due to disturbances in maritime navigation.
Light to moderate rain is predicted to prevail intermittently in Greater Cairo.
Light to moderate rain is also set to hit the south of Lower Egypt and the canal cities.
Moderate rains, sometimes thunderous, will prevail in the North coast, central Sinai, and north of Lower Egypt.
Heavy rainfall is predicted to hit Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Dunyak, and Port Said.
Moreover, cold weather is also expected to prevail in most parts of the country, at night.
Extremely cold weather is also expected to hit the south of the country.
Temperatures predicted for the following cities are: 16°C in Cairo, 17°C in Alexandria, 16°C in Marsa Matruh, 19°C in Sohag, 19°C in Qena, and 21°C in Aswan.
