The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) shared Saturday a weather update about the ongoing heat wave that broke out in Egypt on April 28.
In a statement, the Authority announced that the heat wave will continue along with a rise in the temperature, until the end of the week.
Temperatures are predicted to record 36 degrees celsius in Cairo, while the western coastal cities to Sallum will reach 36 degrees.
Winds will be active in North Upper Egypt, South Sinai, and the Red Sea cities, at night.
Furthermore, the Authority called on the citizens not to be exposed to the sun during daylight hours to avoid sunstroke, as well as feeling thirsty while fasting.
It also asked the fasting people to take all measures to cope with the weather fluctuations and the necessity of consuming a large amount of water between Iftar and the Suhoor meal, without consuming salts and sugars to avoid feeling thirsty while fasting.
