On Wednesday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicted that Egypt will see a gradual decrease in temperatures starting Friday with weather nationwide expected to be cold during the day and extremely cold at night.
The EMA also expects light to moderate rainfall and windy weather in many areas nationwide between Thursday and Monday.
On Thursday and Friday, the northern coast, northern Delta, and the cities of Halayeb and Shalateen in southeastern Egypt are expected to see light to moderate rainfall, according to the EMA.
The same areas, as well as Lower Egypt, may witness light to moderate rainfall on Saturday and Sunday, while on Monday rain is expected on the northern coast and northern Delta only.
Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 16-18 degrees Celsius and lows of 7-11 degrees between Thursday and Monday.
The northern coast is expected to see highs of 16-17 degrees and lows of 9-12; South Sinai highs of 19-24 and lows of 13-15.
Northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 16-19 and lows of 5-8, while southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 18-25 and lows of 10-11.
