EMA: Egypt Predicted to See Rise in Temperatures This Week

On Monday, the Egyptian Metrological Authority (EMA) predicted that Egypt is expected to see a slight rise in temperatures nationwide and mild to warm days over this week after weeks of bad weather in exceptionally cold winter.

In a statement, the EMA added that mild weather will prevail in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the Northern Coast, and North Upper Egypt during the daytime until Saturday.

South Sinai and south Upper Egypt will also see warm weather this week. However, all parts across the country will see extremely cold weather during nighttime, with frost expected in Central Sinai and North Upper Egypt.

Furthermore, the EMA forecast a chance of mild rainfall on Tuesday over the western side of the country and mild to moderate rains on Wednesday and Thursday over parts of the northern coast and Lower Egypt.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will be experiencing highs of 17 to 20 degrees Celsius and lows of 10 to 11 degrees until Saturday, while the northern coast will experience highs of 17 to 21 degrees and lows of 11 to 12.

Moreover, South Sinai will see highs of 20 to 25 degrees and lows of 13 to 14., while northern Upper Egypt will see highs of 17 to 22 and lows of 6 to 7 degrees and southern Upper Egypt will see highs of 19 to 26 degrees, with temperatures falling to 8 to 10 degrees at night.
