Elon Musk made a donation of about $75 million to pro-Donald Trump’s group “America Pac” in 3 months, highlighting Musk’s role in the GOP candidate’s push to win the Nov. 5 presidential election.
The U.S. Political Action Committee, which focuses on mobilizing voters in closely disputed states that may decide the election, spent about $72 million of that from July to September, according to disclosures filed with the Federal Election Commission.
The Trump campaign generally relies on outside groups to rally voters, meaning that the Political Action Committee founded by Musk — the richest man in the world — plays a big role in the election between Trump and the Democrat Kamala Harris.
