On Friday, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron, the Presidency Spokesperson Ahmed Fahmy announced.
Fahmy said that the French president congratulated President El Sisi on his re-election for a new presidential run. He also asserted the continuation of developing the special Egyptian-French ties.
On his side, President El Sisi hailed the Egyptian- French relationships, asserting the depth of the mutual ties between both countries, and the necessity of enhancing them in all fields.
Fahmy added that both presidents discussed the developments of the region as President El Sisi reviewed his vision regarding the ceasefire, and stopping military operations in Gaza for delivering the humanitarian aid without restrictions to support the Gazans.
Both presidents also agreed upon intensifying the mutual efforts regarding this issue, and they underscored the prevention of expanding the escalations in the region.
Moreover, the two leaders expressed the necessity of a serious international work for backing a fair, and sustainable solution for the Palestinian- Israeli fight which is the two-state solution.
