El Salvador formally proclaimed its backing for Saudi Arabia's 2030 World Expo hosting bid last Saturday, lauding the Kingdom for the mutual strategic relations in several spheres.

The Salvadoran Ministry of Foreign Affairs unveiled this stance, adding that President Nayib Bukele and his administration are supportive of Saudi Arabia's ambitions to stage the World Expo 2030 under the theme "Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow."

The ministry further stated, "This reflects the superb friendship between both countries and the shared ambition to advance our nations via innovation, science, and technology."

The Saudi capital, Riyadh, is vying for the hosting rights against Busan (South Korea), Rome (Italy), and Odessa (Ukraine). Regardless of who wins the bid, the Expo is poised to offer an unparalleled platform for nations to exchange their innovations, cultures, and ideas.

By hosting Expo 2030, Saudi Arabia aims to rally nations to alter the trajectory of our planet towards a more promising future. This global gathering is seen as a platform for fostering opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The focus of Riyadh's Expo 2030 bid revolves around three main pillars: “A Different Tomorrow”, 'Climate Action' and 'Prosperity for All', forming an integrated approach to address shared global issues in areas such as economy, environment, geopolitics, social dynamics, and technology.

World Expos, which have been held since 1851, represent the largest global stage to display the most recent accomplishments, technologies, and to honor the cultural values that bind humanity together.
