El-Molla: Oil Sector's Exports Reached $13 Billion in 2021

Tarek El-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, expressed on Monday his happiness with the launch of the 5th edition of the Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2022) in Cairo.

In his word before the event, El-Molla thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his continuous support for the petroleum sector, noting that Egypt International Petroleum Show has become an effective platform for all those interested in the oil and gas industry.

Moreover, the petroleum minister pointed out that the oil sector’s exports reached $13 billion in 2021, and the surplus in the oil balance was achieved for the first time in 2021 at a cost of $2.9 billion.

He also added that 37 petroleum agreements were signed in 2021.

 

It is worth mentioning that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi inaugurated, earlier Monday, the 5th edition of Egypt Petroleum Show (EGYPS 2022).

 

The global gathering, which will be held from February 14-16 in Cairo, is held under the slogan "North Africa and the Mediterranean: Developing Energy Today."

The conference witnesses the participation of petroleum and energy ministers, heads, and leaders of international and local companies, global oil, and gas organizations, as well as petroleum industry experts.
