Egypt's former goalkeeper Essam El-Hadry announced his retirement from football.

On his official Twitter page, El Hadry announced his retirement after a great football's career with the national team and several clubs, including Al Ahly and Zamalek.

The Red Devils' former goalkeeper said that he exerted all his efforts in serving the national team to claim titles and write history, which will remain for decades.

He also talked about Al Ahly's favor on him as the Red Devils made his name and thanked all the Red Devils fans for always supporting him.

He denied rumors of joining any clubs.

It is worth mentioning that El Hardy claimed the 2006, 2008, and 2010 Africa Cup of Nations titles with the Pharaohs. He also partook in the 2018 World Cup with Egypt.
