The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) announced on Friday that manger of the Pharaohs' goalkeeper Essam El Hadry and Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Abo Gabel tested positive for the COVID-19 .
The came after all the squad underwent the PCR tests ahead of their departure to Cameroon to partake in the 2021 African Cup of Nations.
The seven-time African champions will start their mission in the tournament on Tuesday, January 11 against Nigeria.
As a result of that, the football's governing body in Egypt agreed on Carlos Queiroz of appointing Tarek Soliman as intern goalkeepers head coach.
