El Dibany to Hold New Year's Concert at Bibliotheca Alexandrina

Mezzo-Soprano Farrah El Dibany is preparing to celebrate the New Year's Eve by holding a concert at Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the concert will be led by Maestro Nair Nagy.

 

The concert will be held at the Library's Conference Hall at 7 pm Cairo local time, on December 31, with the participation of the Orchestra and Choir (Adults and Children) of Bibliotheca Alexandrina. The concert ticket price is 50 pounds.

El Dibany prepared a number of distinguished works for her concert program, including: The Pleasure Train Polka, Voices of Spring Valse, Petit Papa Noel, The Glow Worm, Climb Every Mountain, Once upon a December.

Noteworthy, El Dibany is an Egyptian opera singer, she was born in Alexandria. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in addition to signing at Paris opera after studying in the Alexandria Conservatory.

She won the award of the best young opera singer in France; she also won the title of best young opera singer in Germany according to one of the specialized magazines. She also participated in various concerts.

As for Maestro Nagy, he graduated from Alexandria Conservatory, and worked as a pianist before becoming a Maestro; he led a large number of concerts at Cairo Opera House; he also published several books, which won a number of major awards.
