On Thursday, the head coach of the Egyptian national team announced the locally-based players' list for the Pharaohs' camp ahead of African World Cup qualifiers against Angola and Gabon.

El-Badry had previously announced last week five players from abroad who will join the team.

Egypt will host Angola in Cairo on 1 September, in the first round of the qualifiers, before flying out to face Gabon on 5 September in the second round of the qualifiers.

Despite the English Premier League clubs’ decision not to allow Egyptian players to join their national team, El-Badry’s squad list included Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah, and Arsenal’s midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

El-Badry called on veteran midfielder Abdallah El-Said, and several strikers such as Mohamed Sherif and Salah Mohsen in case Mohamed Salah could not join.
