In a significant show of solidarity, Egyptians from all walks of life converged at Nasr City's Monument of the Unknown Soldier yesterday. Their collective sentiment was a deep-rooted disapproval of the Israeli military's actions in the West Bank and Gaza, and a resounding objection to the forced removal of Palestinians from their homeland.

Emphasizing their unanimous support for Egypt's position on the Palestinian crisis, the demonstrators championed President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi's endeavors to both safeguard Egyptian territories and steadfastly defend Palestinian rights. The sheer magnitude of the gathering underlined a renewed public endorsement for El-Sisi to prioritize Egypt's national interests.

Following Friday prayers, processions emerged from Cairo's central mosques, making their way to the aforementioned monument. Palestinian flags waved high, while banners declared unequivocal messages like: "Palestine's land is not for settlement or displacement" and "Divine support to our brethren in Gaza."

Chants filled the air, asserting unwavering support for Palestinians and decrying the atrocities committed, especially upon innocent civilians and children. Among the many resonant slogans were "Gaza stands tall as a symbol of honor," "From Gaza arises a decree of uprising and triumph," and "For Palestine, we pledge our allegiance."

Around the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, a sea of Egyptian and Palestinian flags could be seen. Placards and banners echoed the sentiment of support for the Palestinian cause, with unequivocal trust placed in President El-Sisi to ensure Egypt's national security.

The participation of several Egyptian political factions underscored the unity of the nation's stance. Protesters continually highlighted the resilient spirit of the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression. They collectively voiced their hopes for a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its rightful capital.

Ending on a resolute note, the gathered masses called upon the global community to step in, demanding an end to the grave transgressions being perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
