Egypt's Universities Hold Educational Fair in Nigeria

Egypt's universities held the second educational fair in Nigeria in the framework of strengthening Egyptian orientation towards Africa and attracting African students.

The fair was held during the period between June 20 to 26, under the auspices of Higher Education Ministry and Al Akhbar newspaper.

It aimed to provide an environment of direct communication between African students, Egyptian universities, as well as the programs and scholarships offered.

The fair moved between four Nigerian states starting with Abuja. It was attended by 11 Egyptian universities, including Cairo University` delegation.

Cairo University President Mohamed Othman Elkhosht said: “the delegation, which was participating in the fair, explained Cairo University`s educational programs to Nigerian students to attract them to study at the university.”

The president pointed out that the delegation was led by Dr. Ahmed Al Sherif, Vice Dean of Faculty of Science for Community & Environmental Service.

“The delegation also explained the undergraduate, postgraduate programs in addition to programs taught in English and French, and credit hours programs,” Elkhosht said.

“The programs taught in the university`s international branch and its scholarships were also defined,” he added.

saying there are more than 25 scientific degrees shared with international universities that will be adopted by the new international branch of Cairo University in 6th of October City”.

The president also said: “there are new scientific programs such as advanced physics, earth sciences, financial and administrative sciences, engineering sciences, biological sciences, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence.”
