Egypt's Tourism Minister Visits Beijing

Egypt's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Sherif Fathy, met with Wu Aiguo, the Vice President of the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), a prominent investment and construction entity in, Beijing, China.

This meeting took place at the company's headquarters in Beijing and attended by Ambassador Assem Hanafi, Egypt's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Amr El Kady, the CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority, and Ambassador Khaled Tharwat, who serves as the Minister's Advisor for International Relations and the General Supervisor of the General Administration of International Relations and Agreements at the Ministry.

During his visit, the Minister toured the company's headquarters, where he examined the scope of its operations and reviewed various projects, particularly through an exhibition organized by the company to showcase its work both in China and internationally, including significant contributions to the New Administrative Capital in Egypt.

Fathy then engaged in discussions with the Vice President regarding strategies to strengthen collaborative efforts between the Ministry and the company, as well as to identify potential investment opportunities, particularly in the tourism sector.

Meanwhile, the Vice President of the company emphasized the significance of the robust bilateral relations and strategic partnership that exist between Egypt and China, highlighting the Chinese initiative known as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which deals with fields that come on Egypt's priorities of 2030 Vision for comprehensive development.
