Egypt’s Tourism Minister Engages in Key Talks in London

In London for the World Travel Market (WTM2023), Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Ahmed Issa, continued his official meetings by engaging with Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, the British Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy.

The session, attended by key diplomatic and tourism figures, focused on reinforcing bilateral ties and advancing Egypt's tourism sector.

Minister Issa illuminated recent advancements in Egypt's tourism sector, including measures to elevate the visitor experience as part of the country’s broader tourism strategy.

He spotlighted the promising investment landscape in Egypt and the government's robust infrastructure initiatives which have laid the groundwork for sustainable growth and appealing investment opportunities.

Acknowledging Egypt’s strategic position in the Middle East, Sir Donaldson expressed his enthusiasm for expanding cooperation between the two nations.

Applauding the Egyptian Ministry’s efforts, he emphasized the UK’s commitment to continuous dialogue and collaboration across diverse sectors.

The meeting brought together key figures such as Sherif Kamel, Egypt's Ambassador to London; Yamni Al-Bahar, Assistant Minister of Tourism and Antiquities; Mohamed Mohsen, Tourism Attaché; and other notable Egyptian embassy officials.
