Egypt's Deputy Minister for Tourism Affairs Ghada Shalaby said that the tourism flow rate in both Upper Egyptian cities increased by 33 percent in the first quarter of 2023.
She noted that the tourism industry continued to grow thanks to the latest decisions of the minister which allow tourists from China, Turkey, and Indian tourists who hold a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residence to obtain an entering visa upon arrival to Egypt.
This is also driven by the facilities already offered to holders of a valid and used entry visa from Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Japan, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, she added.
