President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting in the Omani capital, Muscat, with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, where an official reception ceremony was held, the two national anthems were played and the guard of honor was lined up.

"Sisi and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq held an expanded session of talks that included the delegations of the two countries," said Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Sultan Haitham bin Tariq welcomed the President in the Sultanate of Oman, praising the close and historical brotherly ties between the two countries, and expressing his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts that support the Omani affairs at all levels, in addition to the Egyptian community’s contribution to the process of construction and development in Oman in various fields.
The Sultan also stressed Oman’s keenness to strengthen the well-established bilateral cooperation frameworks with Egypt in various fields during the coming period, including by increasing Omani investments in Egypt and take advantage of the investment opportunities available there.
On his part; Sisi thanked his brother the Sultan of Oman for the warm reception and hospitality, stressing Egypt's pride in the depth and strength of the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries, as well as keenness to strengthen and persify the frameworks of joint bilateral cooperation and explore mechanisms to push them to broader horizons in various political, security, economic and commercial fields.
The president also valued the level of existing coordination and unity of visions between the two brotherly countries on issues of mutual interest, as well as the Omani-Egyptian consensus on all regional and international issues.
