President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met Tuesday with His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, and discussed regional developments and bilateral relations, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Sisi appreciated the warm reception and hospitality, stressing Egypt’s keenness on the stability and security of Kuwait and all the brotherly Gulf countries in the face of internal and regional challenges as an integral part of the Egyptian national security.
He hailed the deep pride and the strength of the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries, in addition to their keenness to strengthen and persify the frameworks of joint bilateral cooperation and explore mechanisms to push them to broader horizons in various political, security, economic, and commercial fields.
The President also valued the level of existing coordination and unity of visions between the two brotherly countries on issues of mutual interest, and their keenness to strengthen joint Arab action in a way that contributes to addressing the multiple challenges facing the Arab nation at the current stage.
On his part, Prince Nawaf Al-Sabah welcomed Sisi to Kuwait, praising the close and historical brotherly ties between the two countries.
He also expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts in support of Kuwaiti affairs at all levels, as well as the Egyptian community’s contribution to the construction and development process in Kuwait in various fields.
Prince Nawaf Al-Sabah also praised the prominent Egyptian role in strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab action in facing the current crises and challenges in the region to maintain stability and advance the development of economic and social conditions in the Arab world.
The two leaders also discussed ongoing efforts to combat terrorism and extremist ideology and to disseminate a culture of tolerance and moderation at the regional level.
They confirmed maintaining the joint coordination between the two countries to counter the various challenges facing the region in a way that shall realize the aspirations of its people for peace and stability.
