Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, is set to travel to Athens on Tuesday to hold talks with a number of Greek senior officials headed by President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, the Prime Minister and his Greek counterpart, on the Turkey's provocative activities in Eastern Mediterranean region.
On Sunday, Shoukry said that Egypt supports all efforts to reach a solution to the crisis in Libya.
In a joint press conference with his Armenian counterpart Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, Shoukry added that Egypt had intervened to stabilize the military situation in Libya.
Shoukry emphasized the unity of the Libyan territories and respect for international decisions, adding: "We adhere to a Libyan-Libyan political solution under the umbrella of the United Nations."
He pointed out that there are foreign interventions to serve expansionary policies in Libya, adding: "If the Turkish statements do not coincide with actions, they do not matter."
Shoukry stressed that Turkey's policies are expansionary and destabilizing in the region.
