Official sources at the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company revealed that power cuts will be cancelled during the days of the presidential elections, which are scheduled from December 10-12.
The sources added that continuing electricity comes with full coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum, in addition to sending diesel engines to vital places and main committees.
It explained that the ministry has full capacity to provide power for the entire country during the presidential elections, coinciding with the significant decline in consumption over the past few days.
"All necessary measures have been taken to secure electrical power for all polling stations for the presidential elections that will be held in various parts of the country."
The Ministry added that the maximum level of preparedness has been raised to ensure the stability of the electrical current, in order to ensure the regularity and of the electoral process, including halting all maintenance work during the election period.
