Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli met Director-General of FAO QU Dongyu on the sidelines of UN Food Systems Summit +2, held in Rome, Italy from July 24 to 26 2023.
The meeting was held in the presence of Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Sayyed Al Quaseir, Egypt’s ambassador to Rome Bassam Rady.
During the meeting, Madbouli on behalf of the Egyptian state, congratulated QU on his reelection as Director-General of the FAO.
They also reviewed proposals and mechanisms for developing food systems in the world, in addition to efforts Egypt made to promote transformation in food systems, including the formation of the National Committee for Food and Nutrition Systems headed by the prime minister.
